Vision Airlines announces a $59 Sizzling Summer Seat Sale just in time for family vacations.   Beginning Monday, April 11 , 2011 and ending Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 11:59 pm eastern time, passengers can purchase these great $59 fares to and from many of their favorite Florida vacation spots.

The launch of the Caribbean’s first low-cost carrier could come to pass as early as next month if no drawbacks get in the way this time around. An announcement made by REDjet chief executive officer Ian Burns on Monday morning, revealed that its fares will go on sale from Wednesday, April 13, and the first flights will launch on May 8. Destinations in this initial stage will be between its home-base Barbados and Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad.

Oneworld Alliance members American Airlines and British Airways are launching their first major joint promotion in the U.S. for frequent flyer members of both airlines. Four winners will receive one million miles each. To qualify, American Airlines AAdvantage members or British Airways Executive Club members must register prior to travel and book a qualifying roundtrip trans-Atlantic flight originating in the U.S. on any purchased, published fare on American Airlines, British Airways or Iberia on or before June 17, 2011. Travel must be completed on or before June 30, 2011.

The carrier American Eagle, regional affiliate of American Airlines, will provide daily direct flight to La Romana International Airport (LRM) from the Miami International Airport (MIA), beginning in April. In a statement, American Eagle said it will operate the flights using ERJ-145, Brazilian-made Embraer jets with a capacity for 50 passengers.

Sun Country Airlines has begun flying to Washington Reagan International Airport from Minneapolis. The new service is six times a week through April 30 and will be daily beginning May 1. The roundtrip flights will originate in Minneapolis/St. Paul, with an intermediate stop at the Capital Region International Airport in Lansing, Mich., before continuing onto Washington, D.C.

Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, announces that beginning in April, it will operate new routes to and from various Mexican cities, in addition to an increase in seats and frequencies, thanks to the addition of new planes to its fleet. In support of its passengers, and as a way of thanking them for choosing Aeromexico, the airline will have special flights during the spring season.
