The Division of Tourism and Transportation for Tobago announced Caribbean Airlines will launch a new flight between New York’s JFK International Airport and Tobago’s Crown Point International Airport, beginning December 12.

British Airways is to increase the number of flights to the Caribbean starting from March 27, due to the success of its long-haul leisure routes departing from London Gatwick. The airline continues to show its commitment to the Caribbean with a total of 15 destinations to choose from.

Virgin America has introduced new seasonal menus for First Class, Main Cabin Select and Main Cabin service. The fall menus offer guests a wide array of entrees and snacks inspired by flavors from around the world.

JetBlue Airways continues expanding in San Juan, P.R., with the addition of daily nonstop service to Jacksonville, Fla., beginning May 19, 2011. The new route will be the only nonstop service between the Caribbean and Jacksonville. This follows last week’s announcement of new JetBlue service between San Juan and Tampa

The CEOs of American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia are bullish on the benefits that their new trilateral relationship brings to their customers. The three carriers will now codeshare on more than 2,600 additional flights and are reconfiguring their departures. BA CEO Willie Walsh said the result is more convenience for passengers.

Bmi will begin new, daily service from London to the Libyan capital of Tripoli. Good connections from New York, Boston, Washington-Dulles, Houston and Chicago are available with Star Alliance and codeshare partners Continental Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and United. Connections can also be made with ease from Toronto, Canada, and are offered in conjunction with Star Alliance member and codeshare partner Air Canada.
