Anguilla’s Ministry of Tourism has announced the launch of a new executive air service which will operate between San Juan, Puerto Rico and Anguilla. The new service, scheduled to start on February 14, 2009, will be provided on the Anguilla Air Express, and operated by Rainbow International Airlines Inc.
Air Canada on Thursday announced the re-introduction of the only nonstop scheduled service between Montreal and Fort-de-France, Martinique. The weekly service will be initially offered on Saturdays during the summer between July 4, 2009 and August 29, 2009, and will recommence on a year-round service basis on December 5, 2009.
Mexican airline, Aviacsa, is now accepting payment for flights at any of the 6,000 OXXO convenience stores in Mexico. This new payment alternative, provided on Aviacsa’s website by aviation IT specialist SITA, opens the door to online booking for those who do not own a credit card.
American Airlines has announced it will begin daily nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Madrid, Spain, starting May 1, 2009. American will fly the route with its 225-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft in two-class configuration.
JetBlue Airways has announced plans to resume its seasonal service to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), effective May 1. JetBlue’s summer 2009 schedule between Boston and the West includes three daily flights to the Los Angeles basin and three to the San Francisco Bay Area.
