Premier of Nevis, Joseph Parry and the residents of Nevis celebrated the return of LIAT’s flight to the island, in a grand ceremony at the Nevis Airport last week. Due to the personal intervention of the Premier, assisted by the Nevis Tourism Authority, LIAT began their Dash 8 service of Flight 507 departing Nevis daily at 1:50 pm for Antigua. This flight now makes it possible to connect with flights to the region and the UK directly from Nevis.
Lufthansa is launching Lufthansa Italia, an airline in Italy that will have an initial fleet of six aircraft, the German carrier announced on Wednesday.
Sisserou Airways, a new airline based at Melville Hall Airport on Dominica, has launched service between Dominica and St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Barbados. Sisserou is offering three flights per week between Dominica and each of the three Caribbean islands. The flights on 19-seat Jetstreams are timed to connect with flights from the U.S.

Iberia is adding 10 new U.S. destinations to its network, after extending its code-sharing arrangements with American Airlines. Iberia passengers can now fly on to Albuquerque, Buffalo, Baltimore, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Rochester, and San Antonio, in connection with the Spanish airline’ flights to Chicago’s O’Hare airport.
