Virgin Blue Holdings Limited today announced a net profit after tax of $174 million for the fiscal year ended 30 June, 2007, a 92.9 percent improvement from the previous year.

JetBlue Airways Corp. will offer service from Boston to Santiago in the Dominican Republic between December 12 and January15, the only nonstop service available between those two cities. Those flights arrive and leave in the early morning hours. The carrier said airfares start at $218 round trip, with tickets going on sale at noon today.
