Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced details of the 2010 World Cruise –the line’s 10th- on the 700-guest Seven Seas Voyager. “This is truly the best way to see the world -- from the luxury of a medium-sized ship sailing in the company of just hundreds of fellow world travelers,” said Mark Conroy, president of RSSC.
The Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias became this week an intermediate boarding port for Royal Caribbean International Southern Caribbean cruise circuit which was marked with the arrival of “Enchantment of the Seas”.
Disney Cruise Line has joined the majority of cruise lines in now eliminating fuel surcharges for all new bookings. The line cited decreasing fuel prices as the reason for the switch.
During preview cruises this month on its new Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Cruises revealed plans to resume cruises to Bermuda in 2010. Celebrity Cruises’ most recent season in Bermuda ended in October 2006, with the line’s former Celebrity Zenith. The plans to return to Bermuda are a response to popular demand.
Windstar Cruises is offering family rates on summer European sailings aboard Wind Surf. Families who book one full-fare stateroom on sailings departing June 7 through Aug. 30 will receive a second stateroom for family members on the same sailing at 50 percent off per person.
