Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. awarded a multiyear contract extension to SeaMobile Enterprises for SeaMobile’s satellite communication services. The agreement includes fleet-wide services for the Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara brands.
Deluxe cruise operators Oceania Cruises and Azamara Cruises have unveiled their 2009 European sailings, which are similar in that they both call at many less-visited ports of call.
Carnival Cruise Line’s largest ship, the 113,300-gross-ton Carnival Splendor, is undergoing its final outfitting at Fincantieri’s Sestri yard in Genoa, Italy. The ship is the first in a new class for Carnival and will have the line’s first spa cabins.

Windstar Cruises announced its 2008 sailing season, with a total of 146 sailings aboard its three luxury yachts. In the Caribbean, the Wind Surf is offering seven-day sailings roundtrip from Barbados with a variety of ports of call on northbound and southbound itineraries, and the Wind Spirit is offering seven-day sailings roundtrip from St. Thomas.
