The World Tourism Exposition scheduled for Mexico City from Sept. 24 to 27, garnered significant media hype at the Cuban Tourism Convention. The exhibit’s general coordinator Wendy Hesketh laid out the details of the event that hopes to gather representatives from over two dozen countries from the Americas.
The fair will take place at the Banamex Center in the Federal District and will be organized by Mece Frankfurt, a major fair and tradeshow planner.

Beginning May 15, Spain-based company Occidental Hotels will run Gaviota-owned Miramar Hotel in Havana that up to now was in the hands of Accor, a French chain.
