The celebration of Santiago de Cuba’s 500th anniversary as a city will feature a special moment with the Excelencias’ Santiago de Cuba 2015 International Gastronomic & Confectionery Seminar. The event is slated for May 26-30, 2015.
According to Marrero, this initiative, which is supported by the Excelencias Group and its CEO Jose Carlos de Santiago, will set a new stage in the culinary development of Cuba.

The Excelencias Group presented the 2014 Cuba Excelencias Awards to a number of outstanding Cuban personalities and institutions for their resounding contributions to the sociocultural, economic and tourist fields, in a gala held at the 1930 Hall of Cuba’s National Hotel.
The Excelencias Groups will present the 2014 Cuba Excelencias Awards Friday, January 16, at 6:00 pm, at the 1930 Hall of the National Hotel in Havana. The Cuba Excelencias Awards recognize the work of institutions, entities, projects and boldface names from the tourism, business, culture and gastronomy fields with outstanding results in 2014 in both their jobs and their personal lives.
Arte por Excelencias magazine’s 21st issue was launched at Artex-run Casa de 18 Cultural Center, by Alexis Triana Hernández, executive editor, and Amaury del Valle, permanent correspondent of the Excelencias Group in Cuba.
