Excelencias Turísticas del Caribe y las Américas magazine’s special issue – in both English and Spanish languages - is being doled out among delegates attending the 16th Habano Festival, an effort owed to the collaboration between the Excelencias Group and Habanos S.A. Unraveling the secrets that habanos keep in terms of soil, climate and the expertise of tobacco planters from the districts of San Juan y Martinez and San Luis was the goal behind the exclusive tasting session held yesterday afternoon.

Over a hundred kilometers were left behind and guests attending the 16th Habano Festival were just about to live one of the most exciting and customary experiences of all: a grand tour around the finest tobacco plantations in the world: Vuelta Abajo in Pinar del Rio.

In 2013, Habanos S.A. reported a solid uptick of 8 percent from the previous year, a token that the product is “as healthy as ever” and the world’s leading company in the sale of premium cigars remains hefty amid a complex economic and legal environment.
