AMResorts’ Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort, has reopened in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile. In a bit of a coup for the resort, the reopening coincided with the third annual Los Cabos International Film Festival, enabling the property to accommodate some high profile guests.

AMResorts has officially opened the doors of the Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort 10 minutes north of Cancun. The adults-only resort in the private Playa Mujeres Resort complex will offer AMResorts' premium all-inclusive Unlimited Luxury concept.

There are 3,358 hotels totaling 403,715 rooms Under Contract in the United States, according to the October 2014 STR Pipeline Report. This represents a 15.0-percent increase in the number of rooms Under Contract.

Meliá Hotels International has announced results for the first nine months of the year. The company recorded a net attributable profit of €34.9 million, 56 percent more than in the same period in 2013.
