From the World Economic Forum Latin America in Panama, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced today that it has opened Aloft Guadalajara, expanding its footprint to nearly 80 hotels in Latin America, and plans to open 17 more, increasing its portfolio by 20 percent by 2016.

Melia Hotels International opened the Level and the Level Adults Only at Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana: a private area of the resort that offers guests exclusive services and amenities. Level and Level Adults Only guests can, for example, access a private check-in/out lounge.

The new hotel establishes a bold presence in the upscale neighborhood of Vitacura, surrounded by stylish boutiques and some of Santiago's finest restaurants.

The new-build, 126-room hotel is expected to open in February 2015 and will be the second Crowne Plaza hotel in Panama.
