The Royal Belize resort in Hermit Caye is offering travelers a 45 percent discount off a five-night stay for two guests from Jan. 3 to March 15, 2012.

In a ceremony attended by about 50 representatives of its various partners, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts broke ground last week on its new resort at Walt Disney World.

Club Med announced its 2011 financial results highlighted by increases in the resort company’s village business volume and village operating revenue. The company posted the increases despite an operating loss of 24 million euros, of which 19 million euros were related to the cost of closing non-strategic villages.Club Med’s business volume totaled 1.46 billion euros, a 6.3 percent increase over 2010, according to a company statement.

Puerto Rico’s Howard Johnson Hotel at Isla Verde is offering a special seasonal discount on all rooms, featuring 15 percent rate reductions for guests who stay two or more nights.

Families who book stays at Puerto Rico’s Four Points by Sheraton Caguas Real Hotel & Casino by Feb. 28, 2012, will receive special winter rates starting at $123 per night for accommodations with up to four people per room.

The new look of the oceanfront property boasts a tropical feel showcasing Puerto Rico’s heritage, with guest rooms showcasing a color palette of canary yellow and deep aqua blue, teal and chartreuse green, reminiscent of Puerto Rico’s sea.
