The new Argyle International Airport on the island of St. Vincent receives its first-ever flights on Tuesday as the largest project in the history of the country.

The addition of Viajes El Corte Inglés to the roster of companies committed to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism is one of the most significant milestones of 2017.

The St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) said on Thursday that it will intensify its activity regarding the Caribbean Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHTA) Education Fund in 2017.

Under the agreement, both organizations will share data and studies with policymakers about the positive impact of the sharing economy in the region.

Interval International, a leading global provider of vacation services, and participating resort partners donated $30,000 to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Education Foundation (CHTAEF).

The 26th edition of the Havana International Book Fair, slated for February 9-19, 2017, is already under way at the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña.
