Icelandair has relaunched the airline with new seats, new interiors and a new third cabin. The new cabin, Economy Plus, offers seats that are more comfortable seats and have more legroom than seats in coach. Economy Plus customers get complimentary beer, wine and meals and have access to business-class check-in and lounges.
After almost ten years of successful cooperation, Air Namibia is now extending its representation agreement with AVIAREPS to Asia. With immediate effect, the global leader in airline and tourism management has been commissioned to handle all sales and marketing activities in China, Japan, Korea and India on behalf of Namibia’s national carrier. To date, AVIAREPS was contracted as General Sales Agent (GSA) of Air Namibia in 15 countries in Europe and North America.

Tobago’s leisure tourism will be seriously challenged in light of the US financial collapse, but Trinidad’s business tourism will be less vulnerable, tourism expert John Bell says.
Bell, the adviser to former tourism minister Howard Chin Lee, said Tobago may feel the impact of the collapse as soon as the start of the winter season, which runs from November 2008 to April next year.
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Mary E. Peters announced that the United States and Vietnam have agreed to remove restrictions on air cargo services between the two countries. “This new agreement represents a major expansion in trade opportunities in Southeast Asia,” Secretary Peters said.
