The Japan National Tourism Organization has announced that more than 30 million overseas travelers visited Japan in 2018, an all-time record and an 8.7 percent increase over 2017 (the previous record year).
The new record is 1.5 million visitors higher than 2017’s total – a 3.1 percent increase – marking the eighth-consecutive year of tourism growth for Los Angeles.
The Turkish Culture and Tourism minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the “70 million tourists with $70 billion revenue” program to meet the 2023 target.
The latest statistics reveal that 2018 not only registered a 14.6 percent growth in overnight tourist arrivals, but it was one of the largest increases in the last decade.
