However, Virtuoso said clients should not wait to book as hotels are pacing well, citing particularly strong interest in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos.

A recorded growth of 3.4 percent in international visitor arrivals through August in 2018 has been recorded in Chicago, third biggest U.S city. There was a 4.8-percent increase from China as per local authorities.

All world regions enjoyed robust growth in tourist arrivals in January-June 2018. The increase was fueled by strong demand from major source markets, supported by an upswing in the global economy.

China has the largest number of outbound tourists in the world at 135 million and the statistics is considered to go up to 157 million in 2020, authorities said here.
