After a poor showing last year, St Vincent and the Grenadines’ tourism sector has rebounded strongly so far in 2015, according to data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization. The country welcomed 20,658 tourist arrivals in the first three months of 2015, up 5.9 percent over the first quarter of 2014.

Ever since the federal government announced new rules for visiting Cuba in early 2015, opening up the possibility of Cuban tourism for a broad range of Americans, eager travelers have been instructed to be patient. A few months have passed since the big policy change and more ways for Americans to visit Cuba are popping up.

The profits generated by international tourism in Mexico reached around 4.8 billion dollars in the year’s first quarter, the Bank of Mexico revealed Tuesday.

The Dutch Caribbean’s tourism sector is surging. Curacao received 122,074 visitors in the first quarter of 2015, a 13 percent increase compared to the same period in 2014. That was a major shift compared to 2015, when the island reported a modest 2.5 percent increase in tourism.

In order to encourage art in the public spaces of Quito, the city is planning to renew and give life to various places in the capital of Ecuador. The first one is the Plaza Borja Yerovi honouring Monsignor Pedro Pablo Borja Yerovi and his legacy of education in Quito.
