Most visitors to Ho Chi Minh City will make the hour or so drive out of town to visit the legendary Cu Chi tunnels.

Bookings to Cuba jumped 57 percent for one New York tour operator in the weeks after Washington said it would renew ties with Havana. In February, they were up 187 percent; and so far this month, nearly 250 percent. The rush is on to see Cuba now.

NYC & Company previously achieved its goal of 55 million visitors one year ahead of its 2015 schedule by welcoming an all-time record 56.4 million visitors last year. In 2014, New York City welcomed 56.4 million visitors.

Riding a wave of hotel developments, a 6.5 percent increase in air arrivals in 2014 over 2013 and a projected rise of 31.5 percent in cruise passenger arrivals, which would top 1 million this season, St. Kitts is well positioned for a strong, solid year of growth.

The Bahamas ministry of tourism has announced that preliminary tourism statistics show double digit increases in air arrivals and hotel performance for the month of January. Nassau/Paradise Island welcomed 74,361 stopover visitors during the month of January, a hike of 13 percent over arrivals in 2014. Hotel performance also showed improvements.
