According to the survey, 23 percent of respondents have consciously made an eco-friendly travel choice in the past year, and 85 percent said doing so made them feel more positive about their trip.

According to the latest report of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) regarding the number of tourist arrivals, Haiti recorded in 2013, a growth of over 20 percent. The increases were highest last summer (+24.8 percent) than in winter 2013 (+10 percent).

Montserrat saw a 10 percent increase in visitor arrivals last year compared to 2012, according to new data from the British Overseas Territory’s government. In total, Montserrat received 15,648 visitors, up from 14,210 in 2012, an increase of 1,438 people.
