Brazilian tourism officials say that the country has stepped up efforts to lure more foreign tourists as Brazil gears up to host 2014 World Cup.

VisitBritain’s latest trade mission is taking place in Brazil, the BRIC country leading on growth of visits to the UK in the last five years. Since 2007 there has been a 97% increase in visits to Britain from Brazi.

The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism is offering travel agents exclusive special offers on airfare, accommodations, scuba diving and attractions as part of its “Caymankindness” promotion. Several local dive operators are offering discounts on scuba diving, including trips to the Kittiwake and East End Wall.

Cruise ships will be allowed to operate their casinos while docked in Bermuda ports following passage by the country’s parliament Wednesday of the Cruise Ship Casino Act 2013, according to local press reports.
