The government of Canada has announced the opening of a new visa application center (VAC) in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to make the process of applying for a visa to enter Canada easier and more convenient.

Tourism Authority legislation will be sent to Parliament when it resumes sessions in later this month, while passage of the Tourism Act is expected quickly, according to Bermudan Minister of Tourism Development and Transport Shawn Crockwell.

A recent study reveals that international tourists traveling to Brazil are staying in alternative accommodation in greater numbers. In recent years, hostels, campsites and rental houses, rose by 6 percent, putting it at 17% of the total international visitor accommodation market. Hotel still holds the largest market share at 50.6%.
