The expansion of Panama City's Tocumen International Airport will see the addition of more than 50 new stores, and a new food court. It's all about location, and Panama's got it, says its Vice Minister of Tourism, Ernesto Orillac. The nation sees itself as the ideal hub to explore the region.
One billion tourists have travelled the world in 2012, marking a new record for international tourism – a sector that accounts for one in every 12 jobs and 30 percent of the world’s services exports. International tourism has continued to grow in 2012.
The CTB is pleased to report that tourism in October increased with 6 percent compared to the same month last year. It regards an increase of almost 2000 stay over tourists. Cruise tourism decreased with 3 percent. The figures were based on information from the cards from the Immigration Service.
