Cuba is demolishing buildings constructed over the natural dunes of its famed seaside resort of Varadero, in a bid to fight beach erosion at its top tourist attraction.

Last year was a record breaking year for Los Angeles, with 41.4 million visitors spending time in the city. Officials at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board are now seeking to build on this success, with a new vision for tourism in the city recently unveiled. LA Tourism president Ernest Wooden Junior shared a new annual visitation goal of 50 million visitors to Los Angeles by 2020.

The Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board, which established a presence in the U.S. last year, will launch an online advertising campaign, “Let Me Show You My Islands,” on June 4. The campaign features model Willy Monfret as the spokesman for the island group.
