“Once you go, you know” could be ancient history very soon. Travel Agent recently spoke to several members of the Jamaica Tourist Board who told us that the popular tag line, promoting the wonders and adventures of Jamaica, could be changed soon.

Spain maintains attractive holiday bargains and remains a favorite amongst British travellers, as well as having short flight durations from the UK airports, and favorable currency exchange rates, which add to its attraction as a travel destination.

The Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that Cancun had one of the best summer seasons in recent years with an approximate 88 percent hotel occupancy rate. Cancun International Airport received more than 7.4 million tourists, compared to 6.8 million who visited during the same time last year.

Gloria Guevara, secretary of tourism for Mexico, speaking at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas, said her country was putting more emphasis in its promotions on the luxury market.
In order to accomplish that, the country is developing programs with Virtuoso and other high-end groups.
