Eurostar International, a UK-based high-speed rail service that operates between the UK and mainland Europe, and which is also an official supporter of the London 2012 Festival, has reported a slump in its business travel as Europeans fight an economic slowdown.

“Development, promotion and the regulation of tourism" were the goals set out by the Colombian government in a new law which came into effect July 10. The law will reorganize the tourism sector, strengthen regional initiatives and generate jobs.

Haiti’s Ministry of Tourism laid the foundation stone on a new tourism welcome office in the town of Milot this weekend. The project is a joint effort by Haiti’s National Institute for Historic Preservation, the International Finance Corporation and the Inter-American Development Bank.
