The Russian authorities have modified the existing visa regulations for citizens of other countries and have allowed foreign tourists to stay for up to six months on the national territory.

Russian single-entry or two-entry visas may be valid for up to three months, while multiple-entry visas may be granted for a stay of up to six months as a tourist.

Until then, Russia only granted single or two-entry tourist visas with a maximum validity of 30 days.

To obtain a visa and go to Russia as a tourist, it is necessary to present a confirmation of the use of services of a tour operator that is in the unified federal register or to confirm the stay in a hotel or other accommodation that is also in a government register.
