airBaltic, Latvia’s premier airline, proudly presents its extensive flight network originating from Spain, a pivotal market for the airline, covering eight key Spanish destinations. Recently, airBaltic established a new seasonal hub at Gran Canaria, inaugurating direct services to ten cities across Scandinavia, Finland, and the Baltic region by the end of 2023.

The airline operates from eight Spanish points including Alicante, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, and Valencia. This comprehensive network offers abundant travel opportunities for Spanish travelers seeking to explore the Baltic area and nearby regions.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, reflected on the airline's growth: “Barcelona was airBaltic's first destination in Spain back in 2005. Since then, demand for this route has surged, making it one of our most popular. Responding to our customers' demand for flights to and from Spain, we have expanded our network significantly, now operating direct flights from eight Spanish destinations and establishing a seasonal base in Gran Canaria.”

This year commemorates a decade of airBaltic’s service connecting Palma de Mallorca with Riga, airBaltic’s headquarters, with up to two flights per week during the summer season. Furthermore, airBaltic offers direct connections from the Balearic Islands to Vilnius (Lithuania) and Tampere (Finland), with two weekly flights during peak season. Additionally, airBaltic recently announced plans to introduce temporary services from Palma de Mallorca to Tallinn (Estonia) at the conclusion of this summer.

Over the past decade, airBaltic has served over 1.3 million passengers and operated more than 11,000 flights between these regions.

airBaltic operates a vast network comprising over 130 routes from bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria. This network connects a diverse array of destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
