Spanish charter airline Evelop will begin installing Immfly’s wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) platform on its A330-300 fleet in April. The service will be available on the carrier’s long-haul flights to the Caribbean.

“We very much look forward to launching the Immfly digital services platform on board our aircraft,” said Bruno Claeys, general director, Evelop. “Immfly has demonstrated to the industry it delivers substantial benefits, and Evelop chose Immfly given the company is the clear leader in in-flight digital services focused on enhancing inflight revenues and optimizing costs.”

Evelop, which is owned by Spanish tourism company Barceló Group, currently offers IFE via seatback screens but wanted to secure a more modern and flexible option, according to a press release. Immfly gives passengers access to content from sources including 20th Century Fox, National Geographic and Bloomberg on their personal devices. They can also view a 3-D moving map and read travel guides. In addition to offering dynamic content, the platform enables ancillary revenue opportunities.

EasyJet reported in November of last year that its passengers who had access to the Immfly platform were 22% more satisfied than the airline’s network average. Last month, the Barcelona-based IFE company revealed that 44.5% of Iberia Express customers gave the airline’s Club Express Onboard platform, which is powered by Immfly, a rating of eight or higher.
