WTM Latin America Rolls Out App to Pump Up Exhibitors’ ROI

In each edition, WTM Latin America seeks solutions that facilitate and bring together visitors and exhibitors to generate business. For the 8th edition, which takes place from March 31st to April 2nd, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, WTM Latin America launches the application Emperia, conceived with the proposal of capturing the data of visitors through the scanning of the QR-Code of the badge.

WTM Latin America's marketing manager, Thais Del Ben, considers the role that technology has played as a business facilitator. "With Emperia, information will be captured in a more fluid and organized way. This will allow networking and business to be more agile," he says.

The application is one of the novelties of the 2020 edition. The data reader collects the visitor's credential information - in compliance with the General Data Protection Law -, imports it and stores it immediately in the electronic device chosen by the user. In this way, all the information, data and contacts about the visitors are registered in a fast and sustainable way, which reduces the distribution of business cards and, consequently, influences the reduction of the use of paper, as well as organizing the data permanently. 

In the application, it is possible to include notes on the content of the conversation/meeting to create an overview of the contact, as well as classify the contact from one to five stars. The leads generated can be subsequently downloaded from the link that will be sent to exhibitors at the end of each day of the event. Access to the application is free for exhibitors, and is one more tool made available by the event to increase visitor engagement and exhibitor ROI.

The difference-making feature of Emperia is that it captures and stores data off-line, that is, without the use of the Internet. This does not compromise the use of mobile or wifi data in a space with limited resources.

"We know that agility is a necessity in today's world. With Emperia, information will be available in real time, and organized simultaneously for the team in the field during the event, which further increases the amount of data captured from participants. A real advantage for the exhibitors in relation to time and new business", concludes Luciane Leite, director of the event.

The application will soon be available on the Android and iOS platforms.
