Hotel Xcaret Arte to Open in Riviera Maya this Summer
Grupo Xcaret is counting down the days until the grand opening of Hotel Xcaret Arte, its second hotel project located between Cancun and Tulum, Mexico.
Set to debut on July 1, 2021, the 900-suite resort marks the first of Grupo Xcaret’s hotels designed exclusively for adults, with seven restaurants, a spa, five distinct cultural experiences, multiple pools and expansive events and convention facilities. It will also boast 10 bars and lounges spread throughout the property, including the speakeasy bar ‘Deseo’ where guests can enjoy live jazz entertainment.
Designed and built by 100% Mexican talent, the new resort pays homage to Mexican art through the creation of five distinct Casas, each of which will provide guests with the chance to explore Mexico’s heritage and nature.
The Casas include: Casa del Diseño, a textile workshop offering weaving lessons; Casa de la Música with dance instruction; Casa de los Artistas, which will inspire guests to paint; Casa de la Pirámide, which will explore diverse pottery traditions; and Casa de la Paz, featuring cooking workshops specializing in vegan cuisine. Additionally, casa del Patrón will serve as the resort’s main event and convention space.
Guests will enjoy unlimited access to Grupo Xcaret’s seven eco-adventure parks, including Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco and Xenses, as well as its Xenotes and Xichén tours. As part of this unique concept, roundtrip transportation to the parks, hotel and Cancun International Airport is included.
The suites are decorated with soft shades of purple, hotel suites offer views of the Caribbean Sea, private coves, flowing rivers and lush gardens.
Dining concepts range from pre-Colombian dishes to regional Mexican recipes, and from ancient Mayan cooking to contemporary vegan, featuring chefs that include Michelin-starred Chef Paco Méndez who will oversee signature restaurant Encanta, and award-winning Jonathan Gómez Luna who will oversee Chino Poblano, a restaurant that combines the cuisine of China and the state of Puebla.
There will be two Convention Centers on site that can host between 1,140 and 2,065 people, respectively, as well as an oceanfront Ecumenical Chapel offering various ceremonies for up to 120 guests.
Surrounded by the coves of Hoteles Xcaret, the spa offers a range of treatments and facilities including hydrotherapies, flotation spas, mudrooms and vapour treatments; guests will also be able to create their own oils, scents and lotions at the Alchemists Studio.
