Mercure Hotels has reached a significant milestone, opening its 1,000th hotel. This achievement comes after rapid expansion, including recent openings in London, India, Japan, Mexico, and China.

Mercure’s growth has been particularly strong in Asia, with nearly 30 new properties in China and 11 in Japan this year, further solidifying the brand’s presence in 68 countries. Each hotel offers guests an authentic local experience while maintaining the quality of a global brand.

Founded in France in 1973, Mercure has grown into a leader in the midscale hotel segment, thanks to its commitment to local discovery. Key milestones include expanding into international markets like Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The brand’s 'Discover Local' program encourages guests to explore regional cultures through locally sourced menus and experiences. This initiative has strengthened Mercure’s reputation for providing unique and memorable stays.

Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President at Accor, praised the achievement, highlighting the brand’s ability to blend local authenticity with global consistency. Mercure’s continued expansion reflects its success in meeting market demands.

To commemorate this milestone, Mercure will host a celebration at its flagship hotel in Dubai later this fall, bringing together industry leaders and partners to honor its legacy of exceptional hospitality.
