Nakheel Awards AED 810 Million Contract for Palm Jebel Ali Marine Works

Nakheel, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded a contract worth AED 810 million to Jan De Nul Dredging LTD for marine works at Palm Jebel Ali. The company will undertake dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement to support the construction of villas across all fronds, aiming to complete the marine works in just over two years. The first eight fronds of the project are expected to be ready by Q1 2025, paving the way for villa infrastructure and civil works.
In addition to this major contract, Nakheel recently awarded two other significant infrastructure contracts, including the construction of a new public access road and upgrades to roadways and lighting connecting the mainland to Palm Jebel Ali. These enhancements are part of the broader development plan that will transform the area into a prime destination.
Unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Palm Jebel Ali is envisioned to offer a range of luxury lifestyle amenities for residents, families, and visitors. The project supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and signifies a new growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area, reinforcing Dubai's expansion plans.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, emphasized the partnership with Jan De Nul Dredging as a testament to Nakheel’s commitment to excellence and innovation. The development aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aiming to establish Palm Jebel Ali as a global destination offering a luxurious waterfront lifestyle, pristine beaches, and sustainable living.
The project, which launched over 700 frond villas last year, continues to progress with a blend of unique styles designed for seamless indoor and outdoor living. Spanning 13.4 kilometers with 16 fronds and 91 kilometers of beachfront, Palm Jebel Ali is set to enhance public beach access in line with Dubai's vision for sustainable urban growth.
