NCL Standardizes Stateroom Categories Across the Fleet

Norwegian Cruise Line has standardized its stateroom categories across the fleet starting with new bookings from April 2011. The inventory with new categorization will open for booking during the first quarter of 2010, making it easier for travel agents and guests to locate and book specialty staterooms, including aft-facing balconies and mini-suites, multi-occupancy family accommodations, and those staterooms which allow private courtyard access.
Existing bookings only on Pride of America will be reprocessed. The primary stateroom categories now include Suites (S), Mini-suites (M), Balconies (B), Ocean-views (O), Insides (I) and Studios (T) on Norwegian Epic. Each primary stateroom category letter is now either followed by a number to note it as a specialty stateroom, i.e. a B1 is an aft-facing Balcony; or with a letter to note it as a standard stateroom, i.e. a BA is a mid-ship Balcony. Travel agents should receive deck plans with the new categorization by the start of the new year.
