Almond Resorts Barbados Offers Special Food Festival Rates

Almond Resorts Barbados is offering a special rate to encourage guests to attend the first annual Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival, scheduled for Nov. 19 to 22, 2010. The four-night, all-inclusive vacation package includes hotel accommodations, roundtrip hotel transfers, all meals, unlimited drinks and snacks, non-motorized water sports, and entertainment. The festival is designed to highlight Barbados’ outstanding cuisine.

Hosted by Nilou Motamed, features director at Travel+Leisure, the festival will feature culinary masters Tom Colicchio, Marcus Samulesson, Ming Tsai, Tim Love and Fergus Henderson. Chefs will share culinary expertise with guests through interactive sessions, tasting events and demonstrations. Ray Isle, executive wine editor at Food & Wine, will host wine seminars and events with wine expert Anthony Giglio. The events will also highlight Bajan cuisine with authentic dishes created by local chefs.

Almond Resorts features three distinct Bajan properties, including the family-friendly Almond Beach Village (395 rooms), the adults-only Almond Beach Club and Spa (161 rooms) and Almond Casuarina Beach Resort (280 rooms). The resort brand also boasts two properties in St. Lucia, including Almond Morgan Bay Beach Resort (340 rooms) and Almond Smugglers Cove (357 rooms).
