AMA Waterways Offers Early-Booking Discount on 2011 Cruises

AMA Waterways has opened bookings for its 2011 season, when it will add two ships to its fleet in Russia and Southeast Asia.
In Russia, the newly refurbished Amakatarina will offer cruises on the Volga-Baltic waterway with large balcony staterooms and four suite categories. Amakatarina will cruise 11-night “Russian Waterways” itineraries between Moscow and St. Petersburg, beginning in May 2011.
On the Mekong River, AMA Waterways will introduce a new 124-passenger vessel. The ship will join La Marguerite in offering seven-night itineraries between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The AMA Waterways fleet in Europe sails on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Mosel rivers. The Amalyra, Amadolce, Amadante, Amacello, Amalegro and Amadagio feature 170-square-foot standard staterooms; complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks with dinner; and a fleet of bicycles for passenger use.
A newly enhanced complimentary infotainment system provides 3G high-speed Internet access in each stateroom and current Hollywood movies and classic films on demand, English-language satellite television, music channels and “virtual computer” functionality from stateroom flat-panel TV screens. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the ship.
For 2011, AMA Waterways offers more than 16 itineraries across the Danube, Rhine, Main and Mosel rivers. Many itineraries are designed to take advantage of the Koblenz Flower Show, which will take place from April to October 2011.
New for 2011 is a “From the North Sea to the Black Sea” cruise for a grand tour of Europe. Also available will be new variations of the popular “Romantic Danube” and “Black Sea Voyage” itineraries. Danube passengers can now choose land programs in either Munich or Prague, while the Black Sea program presents a choice of Vienna or Budapest for the land program.
All individual 2011 bookings made prior to May 31 are eligible for a 5 percent early-booking discount except on the “Vietnam, Cambodia & the Riches of the Mekong” itinerary.
