Bahia Principe to Spend $200 Million on Five Dominican Republic Hotels

Spanish hotelier Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts said it will spend $200 million to construct five resort properties in the Dominican Republic by 2017. Pablo Pineda, the company’s president, made the announcement at the Dominican Annual Travel Exchange (DATE) conference in Punta Cana.

Bahia Principe currently operates 18 properties in Europe and the Caribbean, including resorts in the Samana, La Romana, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata regions of the Dominican Republic.
