Barcelona’s Granvia Hotel Wraps Up Refurbishment Works
Barcelona’s historic Hotel Granvia, from Nunez i Navarro Hotels’ collection, reopened following half a year of refurbishing work. Preserving the essence of the historic building where it is housed, the new establishment has been completely remodeled and redecorated in order to offer a modern and more welcoming style, while incorporating functional trends that allow it to adapt to the needs and characteristics of an actual urban hotel, as technology and connectivity. Because of its cared design, unbeatable location and excellent service, this hotel will appeal travellers who, for leisure or business, are visiting the city.
The hotel is housed in an old palace from the Catalan bourgeoisie, built in 1870. Despite the full renovation, accomplished by Rosa Rossello, its interior design preserves the warmth and uniqueness of a XIX century noble building.
Some spaces, like the lobby or the fantastic 500m² garden balcony, still transpire history from each of its walls; testimonies of almost a century and a half that the Hotel Granvia has been a part of Barcelona’s life.
Located on the Gran Via Avenue, next to the emblematic Paseo de Gracia and the centric Plaza Cataluna, the hotel stands out because of its exceptional location, at a few minutes walking from great tourist interest points like La Pedrera and Casa Batllo of Gaudi, Las Ramblas, the Cathedral or the Catalan Music Palace.
The three stars hotel has 58 rooms in six different categories: basic, classic, superior, deluxe, JR suite and family rooms. Each room is unique and singular due to the building’s historic past and all of them have air conditioning, free wireless internet, LCD TV, mini bar and safe, among other services and amenities to ensure an excellent stay.
The reopening of Hotel Granvia will allow Nunez i Navarro Hotels to expand their services and segment their offer, adapting it to the needs of today’s customers.
