Belize Hotel Scores Green

Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort in Belize has just received the honor of Green Globe Certification. The hotel began working towards certification in September 2009 and was officially certified on April 7.

As part of its green practices, the beachfront property staffs a Green Team, which is on hand to implement and oversee every eco-friendly effort. Soon to come, the Green Team has plans to launch new guest education programs to include topics like the importance of being green; background on wildlife and nature; Mayan history; and Belizean cultures.
