Branson's House on Private Island to Reopen

The Great House on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island will reopen for guests in September. The house in the British Virgin Islands has undergone a two-year renovation following a fire.

The Great House has nine bedrooms, including a 1,500 square-foot master suite with panoramic views and a bunkroom that can accommodate up to six children.

There are also six individual Bali Houses dotted around the island, bringing to 30 the total number of adults that can be accommodated.

Branson calls Necker Island “the most beautiful place in the world.”

“The brand new Great House is the heart of the island and I am thrilled with the results so far,” he said in a press release. “The opening of the Great House in September signals a new dawn for Necker which I’m very excited about.”

The island can be rented exclusively for $60,000 a night The island also offer “Celebration Week” when individual rooms can be rented for seven nights.
