BVI Resort Reopens with Upgrades

Long Bay Beach Resort & Villas on Tortola, British Virgin Islands, reopened Oct. 26 as Long Bay Beach Club, following a short closure for remodeling and upgrades.

The 40-room resort, a member of Elite Island Resorts' collection of Caribbean properties, now offers three beachfront room categories, the remodeled 1748 Restaurant & Bar, upgraded tennis courts, a gift shop and a personal check-in service.

The original swimming pool and pool bar have closed, but a new pool near the beachfront rooms will be added by mid-2014, and a massage treatment cabana will be in place sometime in November, the resort said.
