Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to Build Radisson Hotels in Brazil

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced plans to build two new hotels in Brazil. The Radisson Hotel Rio de Janeiro and Radisson Hotel Sao Paulo Vila Olimpia will both open in the first quarter of 2014.

The beachfront Radisson Hotel Rio de Janeiro, located in the city’s Barra district, will offer 292 rooms and include a spa, two bars, a health and fitness center, a squash court and heated pool, and 11,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Radisson Hotel Sao Paulo, formerly the Park Suites ITC Faria Lima, will undergo a $3.5 million dollar conversion prior to opening. Located in the southern part Sao Paulo, the property will feature Radisson brand amenities and services including high-speed Internet and express check-out. The company also plans to open two additional Brazil properties: the Radisson Goiânia in 2016 and the Radisson Guarajuba in 2018.
