Club Med re-opened the Rio das Pedras resort in southern Rio de Janeiro, Brazil following renovations to the property’s accommodations, main restaurant and convention center. A new adults-only quiet pool was also added. The renovations include new décor highlighting Brazilian design and culture in the resort’s deluxe rooms

Located in between the Mata Atlantica, rainforest and a 2,000-foot private beach, the family oriented resort offers complimentary visits to a nearby private natural heritage reserve with the on-property biologist. Other excursions include tours to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, rafting adventures on the Mambucaba river and visits to Brazilian coffee farms.
