Courtyard Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach Opens in the Bahamas

The 112-room Courtyard Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach, formerly the Sunset Resort Nassau, opened July 1 on West Bay Street in downtown Nassau near the cruise port and Cable Beach.

Facilities include a pool and sun deck, the brand's signature Bistro restaurant and lobby bar and lounge. High-speed Internet is complimentary throughout the property.

"Courtyard Hotels has become a very popular brand in the Caribbean and is expanding rapidly," said Tim Sheldon, president of the Caribbean & Latin America at Marriott International.

"It offers excellent value in the mid-tier market that is currently underserved," he said. "The hotels adapt well to lifestyle needs of both domestic and international guests."
