Eden Roc at Cap Cana in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, is celebrating its grand opening December 15, 2012. To celebrate the event the resort is offering a Grand Opening Package that includes a $100 resort credit for a four-night stay, complimentary private transfers to and from Punta Cana International Airport, a welcome beverage upon arrival, exclusive use of a four-passenger electric golf cart, per suite and complimentary wireless internet access.

Additionally, travelers who visit the property’s Facebook page can receive a Stay 4 Nights, Pay 3 special. In order to qualify, fans must sign up for the mailing list on the page.

Designed to be reminiscent of the French and Italian Rivieras, the property has 34 suites, six dining venues created by Executive Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini, a full service spa, Caleton Beach Club, Koko Kids Club and access to the Punta Espada golf course.

Suites have private swimming pools and massage / relaxation areas, as well as Bose audio systems and iPads with apps to control lighting, the sound system, air conditioning and the minibar. Guests can also contact the front desk staff through these iPads.

The Mediterraneo dining venue melds French and Italian cuisine with lagoon views, and the 20-guest Gastronomico mixes flavors from around the world in an intimate setting. La Palapa by Eden Roc at the Caleton Beach Club focuses on seafood, and the casual Blue Lagoon Pool-Bar & Restaurant offers light fare and deli food. La Cava serves wine under a domed roof of brick designed to resemble a wine cellar. Riva Bar, inspired by the Riva Aquarama pleasure boat of 1960s Monte Carlo, is the property’s bar locale.
