Elegant Hotels Group Expands in Barbados

The Elegant Hotels Group in Barbados has added to its portfolio of properties with the acquisition of the Waves Hotel & Spa for $18 million.

The Waves is a 70-room, all inclusive resort located at Prospect Bay on the island's west coast north of Bridgetown. The property welcomes children and offers large rooms and connecting rooms for families.

It will close for renovations in late April and will be rebranded as Waves by Elegant Hotels when it reopens in mid-July.

Other Barbados properties in the hotel group include the Colony Club, Tamarind, The House, Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach.
