Grand Lucayan, Bahamas Offers New Series of Spring Packages

The Grand Lucayan, Bahamas on Grand Bahama Island is offering new travel packages, specials and events for spring. The two-night “Island Romance” package features deluxe accommodations in an ocean view room, in-room strawberries and champagne, daily buffet breakfast and a special dinner for two at the resort’s fine dining restaurant, China Beach. Couples will also receive a 50-minute “Sense of Togetherness” couple’s massage at the resort’s Senses Spa. The package is priced at $668, double occupancy through April 30, 2012.

The three-night “Familymoon” package offers accommodations, daily breakfast, turndown service for adults with sparkling wine and strawberries and milk and cookies for children on night of arrival, two hours of babysitting, dinner for two at China Beach and late check-out. Children under age 12 stay and eat free, and the package features 25 percent off the Underwater Explorers Society’s (UNEXSO) Dolphin Connection program, which offers close-up dolphin encounters. The package is priced at $770 and is available through April 30, 2012.

Finally, the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens selected the Grand Lucayan, Bahamas as the location for the shooting of the team’s 2013 cheerleader calendar. From April 8 to 15, 2012, guests can meet the Ravens cheerleaders, get a sneak peek of the calendar shoot and watch as the ladies pose on the resort’s beach and around its pools and palm-fringed landscapes. Packages start at $109 per room, per night.
