Grenada’s Mount Cinnamon Joins Elite Island Resorts Portfolio
Mount Cinnamon, an intimate Grenada boutique designed by entrepreneur Peter de Savary, has joined the Elite Island Resorts group of Caribbean beachfront resorts. Mount Cinnamon is a boutique property with 21 villas and suites set among tropical gardens overlooking Grand Anse Beach; de Savary is the founder of the St. James’s Clubs in London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York and Antigua, and the Abaco Club in the Bahamas.
Villas and suites range from one to three bedrooms, and all feature flat-screen televisions with surround-sound systems, fully equipped kitchens and large balconies and terraces. The Cinnamon Spa offers pampering treatments that draw on West Indian practices, and Savvy’s contemporary restaurant features an eclectic mix of traditional West Indian and Caribbean cuisine featuring fresh local produce and seafood, plus fruit and vegetables organically grown at de Savary’s private plantation estates, Mount Edgecombe and Tufton Hall.
Active guests can enjoy plantation tours, waterfalls, diving, tennis, hiking and watersports; guests seeking a slower pace can enjoy the laid-back private Beach Cabana, open daily for fresh fruit cocktails, frozen drinks and barbecue.
