Ground Broken on InterContinental hotel in Santo Domingo

Ground was broken on the 20-story, 225-room Real InterContinental Santo Domingo in the Piantini neighborhood of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The $70 million property, scheduled to open in 2015, will be located next to the Acropolis shopping mall.
Facilities will include a lobby bar, restaurants, meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a spa.
