Havana Becomes Jet Blue’s 100th Destination

With a view to highlight the importance of its inaugural flights to the Cuban capital, JetBlue is set to pay tribute to the largest Caribbean island’s distinctive cultural heritage at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport

Jet Blue, the first U.S. airline to offer nonstop scheduled flights between the United States and Cuba after 1959, will be landing on Monday at its 100th destination, the fourth one on Cuban soil.

Havana will be privileged with the service provided by a company that launched its first flight back in February 2000 and offers routes to 22 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, in addition to the United States.

With the aim of enhancing the importance of its inaugural flights to the Cuban capital, JetBlue is set to pay tribute to the largest Caribbean island’s distinctive cultural heritage at Terminal 5 of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), in collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History.

A live concert is scheduled to take place at JFK’s Terminal 5 on November 28. The event will tee off with a performance by a Cuban musical band and a New York-based Cuban dance group.

Moreover, travelers will have the opportunity to participate in the creation of a live mural, the work of a Cuban artist. The celebration of the new flight to Havana will include Cuban traditional food.
